Lead Pastor Matthew Verhoog
Pastor Matt Verhoog has served as the Lead Pastor of Valley Alliance Church since 2019. Deeply passionate about the transformative power of Christ and His Word, Matt loves pointing people to Christ's worth and work.
He is happily married to his lovely wife, Kari, and together they are the proud parents of four teenage daughters. When he isn't at the church, you can sometimes find Matt out on the disc golf course or spending quality time with his family.
Associate Pastor: Benjamin Maahs
Benjamin Maahs has been our associate pastor since 2025, with Valley Alliance being his first
pastorate. He is from Dalmeny, SK, and studied four years at Millar College of the Bible. He is
deeply passionate to see the Qu’Appelle Valley reached with the gospel of Christ, and to see
every believer grow in their love and faith in the Lord.
